The whole menu is in French! Now, the picture is a mixed one. For some the new curriculum and the emphasis it places on grammar and written language will be a challenge, for others it'll be business as usual. They debated the question at great length, making fierce, fact-based arguments, aimed at swaying their peers.

It should also provide opportunities for them to communicate for practical purposes, learn new ways of thinking and read great literature in the original language. Language teachers in Waldorf schools need more than strategies for delivering content. A linguistic foundation in ancient languages may support the study of modern languages at key stage 3.
